There are a number of reasons that Bristol has received acclaim, among these a vibrant nightlife, a great arts and culture scene and last but by no means least some of the best cuisine in the United Kingdom..

Bristol is bursting with colour making it one of the most visually attractive cities in the U'K. Street art and colourful architecture as well as the common sight of hot air balloons floating over the city mean that there is an air of playfulness that characterises Bristol.

If you are wanting to experience a fantastic retail visit then Bristol has an enormous amount to offer. The Bristol Shopping Quarter is worthy of special mention. Here the visitor can find cafes and restaurants in abundance. The area is also home to 500 retail establishments anchored by luxury outlets such as Harvey Nichols and Hugo Boss.

The restaurant scene in Bristol offers ore choice than one diner could ever want. Restaurants like The Ox offer exceptional value and some of the best steaks in the city. Excellent cocktails and leather bound chairs, as well as a great rump steak and wonderful decor make this venue a pleasure to visit.

Or what about a seafood focused fine dining venue. The Wallfish Bistro offers just that. The menu changes each day and there is always a surprise of two available. The lobster and rabbit pie is fantastic and is filled to the brim with rich flavour. As a starter the 'Royal Rock Oysters' (sourced locally as are most ingredients) cannot be beaten. Order one or better yet a half dozen to share with the table. The wine list shines.

For the very hungry a trip to Rosemarino Italian restaurant is highly recommended. Huge portions and all the classics are available. But there's even more to Bristol. it has been recognised as home to the kindest people in the British Isles, as well and a truly happy place to work.
